Seefeld
Seefeld - Altitude 1200m 25kms from Innsbruck
We wanted to see the true Tyrol mountains asap. Seefeld is a valley and town.
Over the years its grown from a sleepy farming village, into a luxury ski resort and clearly hiking/biking centre within easy reach by train (20mins from Innsbruck) and by car.
From Seefeld town centre, buses take you off into higher grounds and valleys, all the way to the German border.
Its a delicious little town with countless gasthaus and hotels which are quite expensive in the town centre.
A lovely base to visit 3 or 4 further valleys and climb in cable cars to the dizzy heights for wonderful view of mountains and lakes.
Delightful Austrian Tyrol.
