We had read so much in guide books, magazines and watched Youtubes about this zone. Nothing can quite describe it, you have to experience it.
It IS collossal, massive, enormous blocks of stone that tower above you like nothing you’ve seen.
You’ll want to stop the bike or car everywhere the mountains are glorious, if you have good weather that is as these climb high.
We did Sella, Pia and Gardena passes which took us 2136m in the car and were amazed. Our descent into Canazei was just as spectacular, good job our little Mercedes SLk is a sports car, what a delightful road.
